Abstract

SMART RETAIL IS A SET OF SMART TECHNOLOGIES THAT ARE DESIGNED TO GIVE THE CONSUMER A GREATER, FASTER, SAFER AND SMARTER EXPERIENCE. EXAMPLE OF SMART RETAIL IS DETECTING THE CLIENT WHEN HE/SHE ENTERS THE RETAIL STORE AND NOTIFY THE STAFF MEMBERS WITH HIS/HER INFORMATION TO EASE THE SERVICE ON HIM AND IF HE WANTS TO BUY SOMETHING FROM THE RETAIL HE CAN FEEL FREE TO PICK AND GO AND PAY AUTOMATICALLY USING HIS BILLING ACCOUNT. THIS WILL BE DONE IN THIS PROJECT USING CAMERAS ASSOCIATED WITH BACK-END SYSTEM FOR IMAGE RECOGNITION. ADDITIONALLY, IN OUR PROJECT, IN ORDER TO SUPPORT COVID-19 PREVENTION, THOSE CAMERAS WILL BE USED TO DETECT IF THE CUSTOMERS FOLLOW THE SOCIAL DISTANCING RULES OR NOT. THIS WILL HELP THE ORGANIZATION TO BOOST THE SALES AND ENHANCE THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE AND ON THE OTHER HAND SUPPORT THE COVID-19 PREVENTION.

1.1 Purpose of this document

THE PURPOSE OF THIS DOCUMENT IS TO PRESENT SMART RETAIL FOR VODAFONE TEL-COM COMPANY PROJECT. IT WILL PRESENT BOTH THE FUNCTIONAL AND NON FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE SYSTEM IN ADDITION TO THE INTERFACES AND CONSTRAINS THE SYSTEM SHALL MEET AND OPERATE UNDER.

1.2 Scope of this document

THIS DOCUMENT TARGETS THE STAKEHOLDERS AND THE DEVELOPERS OF THE SYSTEM , ALSO TO ILLUSTRATE THE PURPOSE OF THE SOFTWARE IN SIMPLE AND UNDERSTANDABLE WAYS. ALSO THIS DOCUMENT SHOULD HELP FUTURE DEVELOPERS, AND DESIGNERS TO UNDERSTAND THE SYSTEM AND ITS FUNCTIONALITY.

1.3 System Overview

OUR PROPOSED SYSTEM CONSISTS OF 3 LINKED STAGES: FIRST THE DATA INPUT AND PRE-PROCESSING WHERE THE REAL TIME CAMERAS STARTS TO CAPTURE FRAMES AND THEN WE USE IMAGE ENHANCEMENT TECHNIQUES ON THE CAPTURED FRAME.

SECONDLY THE PROCESSING STAGE WHERE THE SYSTEM STARTS TO RECOGNIZE PEOPLE FACES AND CHECK IF HE HAS A HISTORY IN THE STORE, IF NOT THE SYSTEM SHALL CAPTURE MULTIPLE FRAMES FOR THE CLIENT AND ADD IT TO HIS ACCOUNT IF HE IS USING OUR SYSTEM FOR THE FIRST TIME. AND ALSO TO RECOGNIZE IF A CLIENT HELD AN ITEM AND MOVED AWAY TO ADD THIS ITEM TO HIS CART.

THE THIRD AND THE LAST STAGE IS THE OUTPUT STAGE WHERE THE SYSTEM USE THE DATA SAVED IN THE CLOUD TO DISPLAY ADS AND OFFERS ON THE SCREEN DEPENDING ON THE CLIENT CURRENT INTEREST AND IF A CLIENT DECIDED TO SELECT FROM THESE SUGGESTED ITEMS THE SYSTEM SHALL RECOGNIZE WHEN THE CLIENT HOLDS THE ITEM AND SHALL RECOGNIZE THE HELD ITEM TO ADD IT TO HIS/HER CART AND DETECT IF THE PEOPLE IN THE RETAIL KEEPING THE SOCIAL DISTANCE OR NOT.

1.4 System Scope

THE SYSTEM WILL COVER DIFFERENT THINGS IN ITS SCOPE:

• THE SYSTEM SHALL CAPTURE MULTIPLE FRAMES FOR THE CLIENT AND ADD IT TO HIS ACCOUNT IF HE IS USING OUR SYSTEM FOR THE FIRST TIME.

• THE SYSTEM SHALL RECOGNIZE PERSON FACE WHEN ENTERING THE RETAIL AND DISPLAY HIS DATA TO THE STAFF.

• THE SYSTEM SHALL SEND A MOBILE MESSAGE TO THE CLIENT INCLUDING LATEST ADS.

• THE SYSTEM SHALL RECOGNIZE WHEN A CLIENT HOLDS AN ITEM AND SHALL RECOGNIZE THE HELD ITEM TO ADD IT TO HIS/HER CART.

• THE SYSTEM SHALL DISPLAY ADS AND OFFERS ON SCREENS LOCATED IN THE RETAIL ACCORDING TO CLIENT CURRENT INTEREST.

• THE SYSTEM SHALL HAVE STAFF MANAGEMENT SYSTEM(ADD-EDIT-DELETE-VIEW)

• THE SYSTEM SHALL HAVE ITEMS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM(ADD-EDIT-DELETE-VIEW)
