Abstract

Robots are the most promising machine for replacing humans and performing human operations with better efficiency. The Robot will be on-campus semi-humanoid robot that uses Machine learning. Under the umbrella of surveillance, There is smart detection of abnormal behaviors between students on campus as fighting or playing cards, detection of unethical behaviours and making tickets accordingly for the students after recognising them. In addition to that, The robot offers a friendly human interaction experience with all users through voice interaction and face recognition, also shows the schedules for students and navigation maps. The robot should perform the mentioned set of tasks with higher efficiency than the human.

1.1 Background

Tasks used to be done manually, but now with advanced technologies mainly anything can be done automatically with a command or an automated machine. Robot devices now are highly demanded more than ever. It is used in many things to perform tasks and to solve many problems. Some robots are commonly employed in industrial and educational environments because they demonstrate their value in people’s lives.

Monitoring of abnormal and unethical activities between students in such a large scale environment as a university is very hard to do even with multiple humans working on it. Playing cards, fighting, and including profanity in speech are all examples of abnormal activities that happens daily on campus, these things needs a huge amount of people dedicated to monitoring it. As a result, it is more appropriate to build a single robot to replace all of that and entrust it with these responsibilities.

The project’s target is to make a university robot with machine learning to do smart detection for unethical behaviours between students on campus and making tickets accordingly for the student after recognising him/her. It will also be useful throughout the day by providing students with their schedules and a map to get there.

1.2 Motivation

In large institutions it may be hard to detect or keep track of unethical and unwanted behaviors. This problem is very interesting and important because of its nature. When done by a human, it is exceedingly difficult to recognise and monitor undesired acts throughout the day, identify the individual who is doing them, and keep track of them.

This issue could be solved by the robot’s main feature. It is smart detection of unethical behaviours between students on campus and making tickets accordingly for the student after recognising them. In addition, Some services as providing students with their schedules and a map to get there.

1.3 Problem Statement

Keeping the campus environment safe from abnormal and unethical behavior between students then identifying them is difficult to monitor in universities. Furthermore, addressing the problem of students that does not know their destinations or schedules.
