Abstract

Solar panels are devices that convert sunlight into electricity. They have the potential to provide clean, renewable, and low-cost energy for various applications. Solar panels rely on sunlight to generate electricity, and their output is affected by various environmental conditions like radiation, weather and dust settle throughout the day, that reflecting negatively on power generated and wasting energy resources. As a result, our system is provided with a self-cleaning system and Sun Tracking System that is designed to adjust the panel’s movement with the direction of the sun provided with weather sensors used in order to forecast energy generated by deep learning techniques and get the higher efficiency and power.

System Objectives

• Developing a Sun tracking system that can be used to position the solar panels to sunlight to be able to get more power efficiency.

• Machine learning algorithms are utilized to forecast energy generation from solar panels in various weather conditions.  

• Create a dashboard to calculate the total average prediction of generated energy after uploading the dataset of weather data

• Track the top sensors affecting solar panel's efficiency : LDR, temperature and humidity sensors using a mobile application

Sustain a system that can be used as a self-cleaning system for solar panels to reduce maintenance costs and increase power.


System Scope

  • Develop and implement technologies and methods that can improve the performance and output of solar energy systems and reduce the negative impacts of environmental factors.
  • Maintain and guarantee sustainable renewable energy production by self-cleaning
  • The project aims to benefit various groups of people and the environment, such as:

1- Homeowners and renters who want to save money on their energy bills and make their homes eco-friendlier by using solar energy.

2- Businesses that want to lower their environmental footprint and benefit from the outcomes of the project in the near future
