In the modern world, digital media is used almost everyday if not every hour. Moreover, With the increasing sophistication of steganographic techniques, which enable hiding data within media files, robust detection methods are essential for ensuring cybersecurity. Steganalysis is the uncovering of what could be hidden using steganography, therefore they are different sides of the same coin. Our “Stegasus” application aims to detect and uncover the hidden contents withing image files.

We are aiming to create an application that takes an image as an input from user, classify if it’s a Cover (clean image) or Stego (contains hidden content) using a trained classifier and if the image is found Stego, it extracts the hidden content for the user.

Our proposed application will implement Steganalysis to classify if the image is stego or not and extract the hidden content that might be hidden using different stegographic techniques.
