Abstract
Many individuals face significant challenges due to the incompatibility between Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) and the source code, which often leads to inefficiencies and incompetence in software development. This misalignment can result in excessive rework, delayed project timelines, increased costs, and degraded product quality. When the SRS and source code are misaligned, a disconnect happens between stakeholder needs and the final deliverables from developers. The objective of this project is to solve these challenges for software developers by developing new tools to ensure compatibility between SRS and source code. This project will focus on four main features: Natural Language Processing (NLP) for Requirements Extraction: This feature will facilitate the automatic extraction of clear, actionable requirements from natural language documents. Version Control System: This tool will track changes to both the SRS and source code, ensuring that all modifications are synchronized and documented. Report Generation: This feature will provide continuous feedback on compatibility status. Recommendation System: This system will identify missing or incompatible elements between the SRS and source code, offering actionable suggestions. By implementing these features, this project aims to reduce inefficiencies, and deliver higher-quality software that meets stakeholder expectations.
System Objectives
The main objective of this project is to address the challenges faced by software developers due to the incompatibility between Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) and source code in software development. To achieve this, the project aims to develop effective solutions that will streamline the compatibility checks between SRS and source code, ultimately enhancing productivity and quality in the development process. The specific objectives of the project include:
• We will provide a compatibility verification feature to automatically check the alignment between Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) and source code, ensuring they are consistent and synchronized throughout development
• We will provide a requirements extraction feature that uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) to automatically extract key requirements from SRS documents, helping developers easily identify and act on them.
• We will provide an automated reporting feature that continuously generates real-time reports on the compatibility status between the SRS and source code, giving developers and stakeholders regular updates.
• We will provide a feedback mechanism feature that delivers continuous, real-time feedback on the alignment between the SRS and source code, helping developers quickly identify problems and resolve.
